In this three hour hands-on class, you will experience all phases of honey extraction. In this class, we will:
Pull honey supers from the hives in our bee yard
Use different ways to remove the bees from the frames
Uncap the honey in the frames
Load the frames in the extractor and spin the honey
Use the crush and strain method to extract honey
Filter honey
Bottle your own 1 lb. bottle to take home with you!
We will have plenty of cool water to keep you hydrated and some snacks for you to enjoy!

I came in a little late for the class but caught up quickly and was allowed to assist with the separator. Really good class that answered my questions concerning the behavior of bees during harvesting of honey. Suggestions that will help during the next harvest. Thanks for a great class. Jim

There were two children in this class, that basically were in the way of others trying to use equipment and learn to use the equipment. Perhaps have a kids only class and an adults only class.

Great class! I had taken the Basic Bee Keeping Class and had some unanswered questions on the basics. Doing this as a follow up cleared up everything. I am now going to pursue bee keeping and will be starting a hive in January. I will spend the rest of this year acquiring all the necessary items.

Class was informative. Extremely helpful to use various uncapping tools not only to learn proper technique on how to go about uncapping frames but also to learn which tool(s) I would personally prefer. Taking home honey on top of everything we learned was an extra bonus!

Class was fun and very educational. Instructor and assistant were great, they answered all our questions. Went by fast, didn't seem like 3 hours. Was well worth our 3 hour drive to attend.
