Welcome to beekeeping! If you're a new beekeeper, you may feel overwhelmed in the first few months of getting your bees home. Don't worry - we're here to help simplify the process and set you up for success!
In this 54-minute class, we'll cover everything you need to know in the first 2 months of beekeeping. We are passionate about helping you succeed, so we work hard to make sure this class guides you through only what you really need to know, as simply and efficiently as possible!
We'll cover topics such as how to feed your bees, what to look for in your new hive, how to find eggs, when to add your second box, and what's normal in a hive versus a problem. We'll even show you how to do inspections and what's what inside your hive!
This class is not a substitute for our beginning beekeeping class, but rather a refresher course to review once you get your new bees home. We want to make sure that you have all the knowledge and confidence you need to start your beekeeping journey off on the right foot.
Join us for an exciting and informative class on beekeeping!

Bought a package of bees they have drawn out 1 eight frame deep and are working on the second brood box. Have no SHB problems because none included in package like other aperies have a habit of doing. All-in-all very pleased with the product.

Great use of pictures, video, and presentation to educate! Thanks for all you do to share your knowledge!

Both TX5000 Bee Hives were well established, almost too established actually. No complaints here, would much rather have more than enough than to have a struggling colony. The bees seem happy and don't mind being worked with at all.

Texas Bee Supply gets all my business unless they don’t have something I need. My first purchase was a single hive of TX5000 on April 21, 2023. I have since purchased all the equipment and supplies needed for a beginner beekeeper. Your webinars, video, newsletters, etc. are in valuable. I am looking forward to additional webinars and classes.

There are some things that a new beekeeper would like to know and I can only find snipets of information on these items.
1. Do I need to coat my frame foundations with bees wax? My bees don't seem to want to work on the new plastic.
2. When is it time to increase size of the entry hole and is it OK to move the half hole to the other side. It doesn't seem to be made to shift sides. I have changed to hole to the left side to try to get the bees insterested in the frames in the left side of the box.
3. Bees seem to be thriving. the original frames are full of brood and honey they just don't work on the new plastic.
4. The beginner class was great. I was able to see a live queen on a frame for the first time.
