B402 Certan is one of the most advanced, effective, and economical ways to protect stored combs from wax moth damage. This environmentally friendly solution contains a concentrated form of Bacillus thuringiensis, leaving no residue in wax or honey. A single application provides up to 100% efficacy against young wax moth larvae and protects combs all the way through the following season.
Apply Certan after honey harvest, before any infestation begins. Mix 1 part B402 to 19 parts water (5% solution). Treat extracted frames by applying the recommended amount to both sides—

Allow frames to dry completely before storage. In warm climates, once dry, protect supers from reinfestation by wrapping or storing them in an enclosed space.
For safe handling, wear long sleeves, long pants, socks, shoes, protective eyewear, and a NIOSH‑approved particle‑filtering respirator. Pair with wax moth prevention for full protection.
