NOTE - This cedar has natural irregularities and knots (most of the knots are tight) that add to the unique look and beauty of this woodenware.  While we believe that this equipment is completely appropriate for use in your apiary, you may find the flaws and irregularities unacceptable.  We want to be clear - this woodenware is unique, beautiful and completely functional but looks different than your average pine box. 
At this price, this sale is final (with the exception of damage in transit).  If you are not sure that cedar woodenware is right for your apiary, please do not place this order.

The wood is pretty but brittle, this hard wood is very brittle, thus some cracked wood by assembly.

Hi Ernest, thank you for your honest feedback, it's always welcome! 🙂 Our cedar products are commercial grade and sometimes require a little more care than our other hive hardware. Even with all these little flaws the cedar wood itself is still a great quality, lightweight box that can withstand the more extreme temperatures. Our bees are excellent at propolizing all the cracks too!
