We want the claims process to be as simple, straightforward, and as hassle free as possible! Only claims of obvious or intentional neglect will be denied.
- Claims should be filed within 45 days after bee loss.
- Claims can be submitted here.
- It is fine to file multiple claims throughout the year depending on your hive losses.
The 2-Step Replacement Process
Replacement hives will be available the following calendar year as TX5000 bees, regardless of the original breed purchase. Pick-up dates will be during the third and fourth weeks of May the following bee season. For example, a claim filed during 2025 will result in an available replacement for pickup in May 2026.
- File your claim here, and including your pickup date and location.
- On pickup day, bring back a nuc box with five frames or a single-story hive body with all frames. The Bee Supply team will exchange those returned frames for five-frames containing a queen, brood, and bees. If the returned frames are not in good condition, replacement frames will be available to purchase.
FAQs
Can I see the full details of this warranty?
Yes, you can see the details of the warranty here: https://thebeesupply.com/pages/the-bee-supply-limited-bee-warranty
What does The Bee Warranty cover?
The Bee Warranty extends coverage to the life of bees purchased from The Bee Supply from the initial pickup date to April 1, 2026. Claims filed for lost bees ensure replacement eligibility the following year.
Who is eligible for The Bee Warranty?
Eligibility for warranty coverage is available to ALL 2025 bee purchases, including previously completed transactions. Warranty coverage can be added at any time before bee pickup until June 1, 2025.
How long is the warranty valid?
The Bee Warranty is valid from the date of pickup until April 1 of the following calendar year.
What does the replacement process look like?
On your scheduled day, The Bee Supply will replace a volume of bees and a mated unmarked queen similar to what you picked up on your original pick up-date. We will swap out five frames of bees and an unmarked queen with five frames of good bee comb per hive. We define "good comb" as not containing wax moth damage or any other damage. The replacement bees will be The Bee Supply's trademarked TX5000 breed. This breed will be used regardless of the type of bee originally purchased.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
The Bee Warranty does not cover:
- The woodenware, supplies, nuc boxes, tools, or any other merchandise purchased with the bees.
- Bees purchased from other suppliers.
- Queen replacement. This warranty covers the loss of the entire hive during the warranty period.
- Bees that have been proven to have been intentionally killed or neglected.
- Bees during the standard 30-day post pickup warranty. The 30-day warranty covers the bees in the event of a loss within the initial month after pickup. The Bee Warranty will go into effect once the 30-day post-pickup warranty expires. In the event there is confusion on which warranty is in effect, the warranty that is more beneficial to the customer will be applied.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Complete and submit the Bee Claim Form HERE. Once received, we will contact you and schedule a Bee Warranty pick-up in May of the following year. The claim must be received within 45 days of the loss.
How do I receive my 50% refund?
If unused or unclaimed, The Bee Warranty coverage is eligible for a 50% return in the form of a gift card to The Bee Supply. These returns will be provided automatically once the warranty has expired. Please note: Filing a single claim will void the possibility of any return. The Warranty coverage is only refundable when NO CLAIMS are filed. Please speak with our staff if you have any questions.
Do you deliver or pick up warrantied bees?
The Bee Supply will not transfer (deliver or return) bees to or from your property. You must schedule a pick-up day at one of our listed locations.
What voids the bee warranty?
During the warranty period you must follow our management guide which includes feeding syrup or sugar bricks, Varroa mite test or treatment, and feeding pollen patties. If The Bee Supply determines that you have not followed our guide, the warranty will be voided at our discretion.
We care about you and your success as a beekeeper. We hope you take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to protect your hives.
