Rent Leafcutter Bees Kit
Strengthen your garden and grow more vegetables with the pollination help from gentle leafcutter bees. These solitary, nonaggressive bees can visit the majority of the flowering plants in your backyard during their summer flying months. As apparent in their name, leafcutter bees will construct their nests by using leaf pieces and will also wrap their larvae in a leaf or petal “sleeping bag."
Typically, these low-maintenance bees are used for the pollination of alfalfa, which is primarily responsible for creating the majority of feed for pigs and dairy cows. So with this rental program you will be aiding local farmers while also enriching your habitat and supporting solitary bee populations. This will support your ecosystem with stronger trees and plants, strengthen soil, and provide cleaner air and feeds for other wildlife.
Through the rental program, you can release solitary bees into your yard and rent our nesting blocks for nesting. At the end of the season, you return the bees (with provided shipping label and instructions) for us to complete the critical cleaning and maintenance.
